The bottles you come back to

This weekend at Umbrella is about the bottles that don’t require overthinking — the ones that show up beautifully for gatherings, quiet nights, and long conversations alike.

We’re hosting a casual in-shop tasting on Friday, then spending the weekend at a festive holiday market alongside some of our favorite local makers. Different formats, same intention: helping you land on something that actually fits this season of life.

Friday: In-Shop Tasting

Friday, 6–8 pm | Umbrella Bottle Shop within the Self Care Marketplace, 12 W Martin St in downtown Raleigh
Complimentary, casual, come-and-go

We’ll be tasting through a mix of non-alcoholic spirits and low-dose 🫖hc-infused options — our personal favorites alongside the bottles you’ve been returning for all season.

Festive without the fog.
Present without the overdoing.
Flexible enough for long nights, early mornings, and full calendars.

✨ Friendly reminder: this is the last shopping weekend before Christmas.
We’ll be closed Monday + Tuesday (12/22 & 12/23) as usual, then reopen for Christmas Eve (schedule at bottom of this note).

Saturday + Sunday: Triangle Pop Up’s Handcrafted Holiday Market

Saturday & Sunday, 12/20 + 12/21

We’ll also be at Triangle Pop-Up’s Handcrafted Holiday Market — a two-day, thoughtfully curated event with 200+ vendors, music, food trucks, and coffee at the NC State Fairgrounds.

The market is a $5 ticket (good for both days), and we’ll be serving drinks that can be sipped while browsing Umbrella retail, and while wandering the rest of our neighboring booths.

It’s an easy place to:

  • Find gifts that travel well

  • Shop small, locally, and intentionally

  • Enjoy a drink while taking your time

Bottle Shop Hours — Holiday Season

If you’re planning a visit, here’s our schedule for the week ahead and the holidays:

Regular Schedule (this week):
Wed–Thu 11–7
Fri–Sat 11–8
Sun 11–5
Mon–Tue Closed

Holiday Notes:

  • Christmas Eve (Wed): 12–6

  • Christmas Day: Closed

  • Friday, 12/26: 12–6

  • After that, we return to our regular hours.

New Year’s Eve:

  • Open 11–5

  • Closed in the evening - Self Care Marketplace is transforming into a music venue for First Night Raleigh (event setup begins at 5 pm)

  • January 1: Back to normal hours

We’re planning Jan/Feb events now - let us know if there’s something you’d like to see, like: dry January special tastings, mixology workshops, canna curious content, etc.

As we head into this final stretch, we just want to say how much we’ve genuinely enjoyed this market season — the conversations, the familiar faces, the new ones, and the way these weekends create space for connection in the middle of a busy time.

There’s something really satisfying about this last little push before the holidays: finishing strong, staying present, and savoring the work we’ve been building toward all year.

If you’re out and about this weekend, we’d love to see you — whether that’s in the shop on Friday, wandering the market, or just stopping by to say hi.

Thanks for being part of it with us. ✨

Cheers <3

Meg
