Umbrella IRL: Where to Sip with Us This Week of Sept 30th 2025
Here is our newsletter about big sips, spooky season, and a dream debut in the Village District
Sep 30, 2025
If you’re in Raleigh, you’ve probably caught wind of something stirring in the Village District. Maeve by Anthropologie—the dreamy, design-forward house label—has chosen our city as the home of their first-ever standalone store in the world. And they’re celebrating in style.
We’ll be serving custom-crafted non-alc cocktails at their grand opening party tomorrow, Wednesday, October 1, from 4–7 PM. Expect two elevated drinks designed to match Maeve’s brand aesthetic—whimsical, sophisticated, and just a little unexpected. We’ll be pouring from a marigold-wrapped Airstream, parked in front of the new storefront at 440 Daniels Street.
It’s a one-day-only activation, complete with a café pop-up and beautifully layered details. A dream collaboration, and a moment we’re proud to align with.
Next up: First Friday at our Bottle Shop
This Friday from 6–9 PM, we’re pouring seasonal favorites at our bottle shop inside Self-Care Marketplace (12 W Martin Street).
✨ Our friends at Angelica’s Wellness are launching their first canned iced tea
🔮 Mindful Mer will be doing tarot readings
🥕 And we’ll be offering a tasting flight, including our carrot orange shrub with your choice of buzzy-not-boozy add-ins
It’s a cozy little ecosystem—come meet the makers, sip something thoughtful, and get a glimpse of what we’re brewing for fall.
Looking ahead… spooky season’s brewing 🍂
Save the dates for October 24 + 25 at Downtown Cary Park:
Friday, 10/24: Zombiepalooza
We’re bringing back our blood bag cocktails (huge hit last year), alongside a lineup of short spooky films from local filmmakers.Saturday, 10/25: Downtown Scary Park
Pumpkin carving by day, double feature by night. This park has become one of our favorite venues—its layout and programming are chef’s kiss, and the national recognition they’re receiving is well deserved.
Behind the Scenes…
We’ve got a few private events on the books this month—including a return to the Arise Foundation Gala for the third year in a row. It’s an honor to support their fundraising efforts with drinks that bring celebration without overconsumption.
And quietly (as always), we’re working on some big projects we can’t wait to share more about soon.
Warmly,
Meg
